Communication is key
Life is great with dogs and most of us can’t imagine our lives without them even when they’re difficult. As providers and caregivers, we want what’s best for our furry family members. Even if you have the best intentions, you may not be prepared for your dog’s energy levels or understand how to communicate to them what they should do and why. The bottom line is that you want your dog to do what you say when you say. So many dog owners have questions and some are afraid to ask for fear of being shamed or hearing the same recommendations they’ve already tried. Why is it that some people have the perfect dog that does everything they say and can go anywhere while mine has problems? Is that just the way dogs are different from each other and those people got lucky? Why is it that I had a dog before who was a saint and the one I have now is quite the opposite even though I’m doing everything the same???
The answer is that, regardless of breed or circumstance, every dog is a unique creature who’s personality and physiology require them to have a personalized care plan.
